The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The company level established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out here programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
